“What are the two or three core values that your relationship is built on?”

Peter: “The first core value our relationship is built on is our striving to be Christ minded people. This is ultimately what we appreciate most about each other, and what leaks over into every aspect of our lives/relationship. 

Another core value of ours is just our friendship. We both believe the other influences him/her into being a better person, think the other is really funny, and admire the qualities and passions the other brings to the relationship. 

Finally there is a strong respect between us and understanding of when to defer to the other’s knowledge or passion and when to make the judgement.”

Bailey: “The two most important values in my relationship with Peter are humility and loyalty. Humility because we are in the pursuit of loving each other the best we can we are always eager to learn something about the other, never feeling like we have reached the end of how wonderful the other person is. Loyalty because even through disagreements of differences of options we choose each other. This is an especially good reminder that even if we don’t always like each other, we always love the other completely.”
